We knew that good news was coming our way today when the satellite radio at work started playing incredible songs right off the bat. (That NEVER happens!) Corporate approved Kate to take over my position when I leave on Feb 1st! Whoohoo! I'm so excited for her. SO excited! She is going to be incredible and I feel a huge sense of relief knowing that I am leaving my store in good hands.
On a side note....two days until I go home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and... YESSSS OBAMA!!

Hi Tara...props on your relocation !!
Hard to stay afloat in the corporate pond sometimes
I read your comment on bellablue32 (a wonderful friend of mine) and noticed you claimed to be a Texan...normally we reserve that title for those of us fortunate to have been born in the Great State, but in your case, I will grant an exception. It is a terrific place and will always be my home, no matter where I live. Which is Ohio at the moment, sucked in by Sears Hardware from New Jersey. When K Mart was buying them out is started getting weird so I jumped ship to another business then forced to retire last year (medical stuff). My sister still lives in Round Rock; we were born in Temple.
Anyway, I really enjoy your blog and will continue to read it
Good luck in the big apple
Thank you so much! Gosh, Roundrock...so close to Austin where I lived. It's funny because, even if you weren't born in Texas, you become so proud of the fact that you lived there! Not very many states that have an effect on you like that. ;) Thanks for reading my blog, it's so comforting to get opinions and advise from others experiencing the same issues as I am.
Happy New Year!
